this is the second time we’re pulling out of hole for a bit change. the shale is so plastic. here’s a little summary of how it has been.
bit #1:
drilled about 300m or so. pulled out because of low ROP. one junk slot was balled up.
bit #2 a.k.a the bad boy:
drilled 1400m ++. pulled for the same reason. two junk slots were balled.
bit #3:
will be on its way down in three to four hours from now. hopefully will drill the rest of the section to TD like a champ.
since two of the junk slots for bit #2 were balled up, our decision of running a four bladed is wise. there’ll be more area for the cuttings to pass through.
i refuse to be governed by all these material things. i do not judge them by the car they drive, by the way they dress, by the thickness of their wallet anymore. instead, i judge them by the conversation, by their intellectual thoughts, and by their honesty.
